At its AGM on 4 December 2021, the directors and members of the Digital Gap Initiative Ltd decided to dissolve the organisation due to a lack of capacity to pursue our cause under its incorporated/charity structure.
Digital Gap Initiative Ltd (DGI Ltd) received official confirmation that its application to voluntarily deregister under the CORPORATIONS ACT 2001 – SECT 601AA was approved by ASIC effective 6 July 2022, and its application for revocation of its charity status was approved by the ACNC effective 7 July 2022.
The good news is that Gisele will continue advocating for digital accessibility and inclusion as Digital Gap Initiative (without the Ltd) as her cause. Gisele will also continue to network with others engaged in accessibility and inclusion.
Adam Racovalis of Mintsource is redesigning the DGI website and Gisele will post here and also invite guests posts from time to time.
